The pain can also spread to the shoulders and back. The shoulders and back can also experience spasm as well. The person can also experience head ache which starts at the base of the head where the head meets the spine. One of the symptoms that is not typically thought of is a sore throat. Again some of the un-thought of symptoms are related to mood. Neck sprains can cause irritability and fatigue. This is in addition to trouble sleeping and concentrating. Then it is good to watch for a decrease in mobility and range of motion of the neck. It is also necessary to pay attention if there is some tingling or numbness in the arms and hands. With all of these symptoms, someone can experience one, some, or all of them. Because neck sprains are often the result of a car accident it is important to always see a doctor as well as your insurance broker. It is important to keep the injuries and symptoms documented for law and insurance purposes, especially if you are the victim of a wreck less or careless driver.
